Practically every craft brewery has an IPA amongst its core range of beers, Alpha being our own. We have brewed this beer countless times, ever since our homebrewing days back in 2017. That’s not to say that Alpha hasn’t evolved over time. I doubt we would be able to recognise it as the same beer were we to brew the original recipe again.

We did perhaps become too fixated in perfecting Alpha, to get it to be the ideal IPA beer Miguel and I enjoyed drinking at the time. We were obsessed with achieving the body we wanted, the mouthfeel, the bitterness, the ABV to match, etc. The end result is something we’re extremely proud of and was in fact the first beer we launched on the market in 2019 when the brewery officially opened.

Fortunately, it was received as favourably as we could expect it to be, and it seems that for now it will be keeping its place amongst our core range of beers.
