Dark Times R over

Dark Times R over

In February 2021, amidst the uncertainty of the COVID pandemic, Miguel and I decided to channel our love for dark beers into creating our own imperial stout. The world was in a tough spot, and so were we—navigating the challenges of running a small brewery during unpredictable times. Just as we were brewing, NASA's Perseverance rover successfully landed on Mars, a feat that resonated with our own journey of pushing forward despite adversity.

Inspired by this, we named our new brew Dark Times, symbolizing resilience and hope. However, a miscommunication led to the Opportunity rover being featured on the label instead of Perseverance. Rather than correcting it, we embraced the serendipity. Opportunity's mission, which lasted 15 years instead of the planned 90 days, epitomized endurance—a perfect metaphor for our journey.

We chose to release Dark Times only when we felt the world was turning a corner, and we could genuinely say, "the dark times are over." This imperial stout stands as a testament to perseverance, both ours and humanity's.
